Screen Recorder for Agencies

Send design reviews, handovers, quotes and bug reports as short videos instead of booking another call. Your client clicks the link and watches, no account needed.

Updated 5 November 2026

JustRec is a screen recorder for agencies that send work to clients from a Mac. You record a design review, a handover or a bug report, press stop, and the share link is already in your clipboard. Your client opens it in any browser, with no account, and sees who sent it, how long it is and until when it’s available.

It isn’t released yet. Join the waitlist and you’ll get one email at launch, with the early-bird price.

An agency week, with fewer calls

Most of the calls in an agency calendar are one person explaining something while the other listens. Those are the ones a short video replaces. The client watches when it suits them, can rewatch the tricky part, and replies in writing, so the decision is on record.

The task The usual way By video
Design review, round two A 30-minute call to click through the mockup Three minutes on what changed and why, header first
Website handover A training call nobody remembers a week later A tour of the CMS the client can watch again
Quote or proposal A PDF the client opens alone and stalls on the total Two minutes on how you got to the numbers, before they open it
Bug report Screenshots with red arrows and a long email The bug as it happens, with the steps to reproduce it
Weekly status A recurring call to say “on track” A short update the client watches on the train

Calls still matter: kickoffs, bad news, a disagreement about scope. Our decision guide to meetings and videos helps you pick, and async video for agencies shows how to make the switch without confusing your clients. For the full method, start with the guide to async video for client communication.

What a screen recorder for agencies should do

An agency doesn’t need a video studio. It needs to get from “I’ll explain this” to a link in the client’s inbox in the time it takes to write the email. That’s what JustRec is built around.

  • One shortcut to start

    Option-Shift-R from any app, or the menu bar icon. A 3-second countdown and you're recording.

  • The link is in your clipboard

    Press stop, the video uploads, and the link is ready to paste in Slack, WhatsApp or email.

  • Screen, window or area

    Record the whole screen, one window or just the part that matters. Pause and resume as you go.

  • A camera bubble

    Round, square or 16:9. Drag it, resize it, or hide it while you show something sensitive.

  • Clicks clients can follow

    A soft pulse on every click, and an auto zoom that follows your clicks and can be edited afterwards.

  • Subtitles made on the Mac

    Generated locally in the language you speak and shown on the video page, for clients who watch on mute.

The details that make a video look sent by a professional are in Settings, not in an editor: notifications hidden from the recording, backgrounds and padding around the screen, Retina or Full HD. After recording you can trim the start and end. If you want help with what to say, our client video scripts cover reviews, handovers and quotes.

What your client sees

Your client gets a link like justrec.app/v/… in the chat or inbox they already use. In WhatsApp, Slack and Mail it shows a preview with the title and a thumbnail, so it doesn’t look like a random URL.

  • It opens in any browser, on desktop or phone. No account, no app, nothing to install.
  • The page shows the title, who sent the video, its duration, the date the link expires, and subtitles.
  • There are no cookies, no analytics and no tracking on the page.
  • When the link has expired, the page says so and asks the viewer to request a new one.

If your clients are hard to get in front of a video at all, read how to get clients to actually watch your videos.

Privacy as something you can sell

Agency videos show more than mockups: a client’s CMS with real orders, an analytics dashboard, a CRM with names and email addresses. Your clients will ask where those recordings end up, and a clear answer helps you win the work.

  • The library stays on your Mac. Every recording is saved locally, in Movies/JustRec by default. There is no cloud library.
  • Only what you share goes online, on servers in the EU.
  • Shared copies are deleted when the link expires: 30 days on Personal and Team, 3 days on Lifetime. You can withdraw a link earlier from the library.
  • Subtitles are made on the Mac. The speech-to-text model runs locally, so your voice is never sent to an external AI.
  • The video page doesn’t track your client. No cookies, no analytics.

A data processing agreement for agencies will be available. We explain the roles, and what stays your responsibility, on the GDPR-friendly screen recorder page and in GDPR and client videos.

The Team plan

The Team plan includes everything in Personal, for every person in the agency.

Team Personal
Price, billed yearly €4.90 per user per month €6.90 per month
Price, billed monthly €6.90 per user per month €8.90 per month
Minimum 3 users 1 user
Longest video 30 minutes 30 minutes
Link lasts 30 days 30 days

For a team of three, that’s €14.70 a month billed yearly. Prices exclude VAT and may change before launch. The full comparison, Lifetime included, is in pricing.

Planned for teams

These features are planned, not available at launch. We list them so you know where the Team plan is going:

  • client folders with one-click reshare, shared across the team;
  • your agency logo and a custom domain on the video page;
  • team member management and one invoice for the whole agency;
  • an email when your client watches a video;
  • a client page that lists all the videos currently shared with them.

What JustRec doesn’t do

Better to know now than after you’ve moved the team. JustRec runs only on Mac. It has no timeline editor, no comments or reactions under the video, no viewer analytics, and no integrations with Slack, Notion or project tools. It doesn’t record meetings.

If your agency needs a shared cloud library with comments and viewer insights, Loom is the better fit. We compare the two honestly on JustRec vs Loom, and explain who we’re for on the Loom alternative page.

Built by an agency, for agency work

JustRec is made by Nube, a web studio in Italy. We built it for our own client work: the review rounds, handovers and quotes this page is about. That’s why it does a few things well instead of everything: start fast, look clean, copy the link, and keep client data online only as long as needed.

Frequently asked questions

Does our client need an account to watch a video?

No. The link opens in any browser, on desktop or phone, with no account, no app and no sign-up.

How much does JustRec cost for an agency?

The Team plan is €4.90 per user per month billed yearly, or €6.90 billed monthly, with a minimum of 3 users. Prices exclude VAT and may change before launch.

Can we put our agency logo on the video page?

Not at launch. The page shows the title, who sent the video, its duration, the expiry date and subtitles. An agency logo and a custom domain on the video page are planned for the Team plan.

Where are client videos stored?

Every recording stays in the library on the Mac that made it. When you share one, a copy is stored on servers in the EU and deleted when the link expires, after 30 days on the Team plan.

Can we see when a client has watched a video?

Not at launch: the video page has no analytics and doesn't track viewers. An email that tells you when your client watches is planned.

Does JustRec work on Windows?

No. JustRec is a native Mac app and needs macOS 15 Sequoia or later. Your clients can watch on any device, though.
